Willow Acres Log Cabins

Bracken County Kentucky

Willow Acres property is located just forty-five miles southeast of Cincinnati Ohio in Bracken County Kentucky. The property includes two hundred acres of wooded property with three miles of graded trails and a running creek. Wildlife is abundant and it includes deer, coyote, and wild turkey.

The center of the property highlights two historical log cabins first built during the time of the American Civil War or sometime near the mid eighteen hundreds. The cabins have been rebuilt and newly renovated but still maintain the rustic feature and look of the original state. The cabins provide modern plumbing and electricity but still provide a step back in time as they can still be lit by oil lamp and candlelight. The motif for the buildings is centered on a Civil War theme.

The large cabin is two stories and has two bedrooms with five total beds that can sleep eight people. The one story cabin sleeps four in two sets of bunk beds and there are two full bathrooms for the property with hot water in both. Clean linens and towels are provided with rental. Also included are kitchen pots, pans, coffee makers and other basic kitchen needs.

Finally, the property includes a barn and bunkhouse. The bunkhouse will sleep four and it features an antique wood-burning cook stove. Cook breakfast including oven baked bread with firewood. All three buildings are heated for your convenience. Attached to the barn is a twenty by thirty outdoor shelter for gatherings and cookouts.

Visit Willow Acres and take a step back in time one hundred and fifty years and be a part of the history while enjoying privacy and modern conveniences. Campfires, hiking, outdoor cooking, and wildlife are all a part of this experience.
